As a fan of the Crocodile Hunter's shows on Animal Planet, I was deeply saddened to learn of Steve Irwin's untimely death. He was a special man and I would hope that people remember him for all the good that he did raising awareness of the plight of various animals throughout his incredible career. I am sure his family is going through terrible heartbreak over this loss and I want to show my support for them by making this tribute page dedicated to the memory of a very courageous, noble and caring man I respected greatly. Feel free to add you comments on this Memorial Wall and know that you're not alone in missing the man we came to know and love as The Crocodile Hunter, he was that and so much more.


Remembering Steve


Watching you on Television was so much fun.
Thinking that you're gone now is so sad.
I thought about you today as I watched the setting sun.
Thoughts of all the good you've done makes me glad.
That you raised awareness of animal issues was a wonderful thing.
You taught us about them, made them so real sometimes it hurt to see.
Watching them suffer was almost too much to bear.
You are such a kind and caring person, you and your wife are quite a pair.


When I heard the news I broke down and cried.
Just knowing how hard this would be on your family breaks my heart.
I feel so bad for your family Steve, it's so sad that you died.
I hope your family continues the work you started.
You reached out and touched the lives of so many of us.
We love you Steve Irwin and in our hearts you will live on.
I offer this poem to the world as a sign of trust.
I won't forget the lessons I've learned, that would be wrong.


I look around me and see beauty around me even in my back yard.
I looked at the sunset tonight, it was so very nice.
To see beauty around me isn't very hard.
You showed us such love, but at a high price.
Giving so much of yourself to people made you special indeed.
Letting us look into your life was amazing.
Anyone could it was real, not something done for greed.
You Steve Irwin, and your wife I am praising.
